Holon At Risk monitors student engagement, grades, and activity across your Canvas courses to identify students who may need intervention. It calculates a risk score for each student based on three factors: grade, missing assignments, and login activity.
Holon At Risk is part of the Holon tool suite and is launched from Holon Hub. There's nothing to install per-tool and no token to enter.
Each student receives a risk score from 0 to 100 based on three weighted factors:
Four stat cards summarize your student population. Below is a filterable, sortable table of all students with risk scores, grades, missing counts, and last login dates.
Click any column header to sort. Click again to reverse.
Select students with checkboxes → click Message Selected, or click ✉ on any row. Messages are sent through the Canvas Inbox.
Select a template from the dropdown. Supported merge fields:
{{name}} — student name{{course}} — course name{{grade}} — current grade{{missing}} — missing assignment count5 pre-built templates are included. Create your own in the Template Manager, or drag-and-drop a Word doc to import text.
Click ✦ AI on any student for an AI-generated analysis with intervention suggestions. Requires an Anthropic API key (add in Settings ⚙).
Click CSV or Excel to download the current filtered list with all columns.
Ensure the course has active student enrollments and your Canvas token has correct permissions.
At Risk shows students from up to 20 courses by default. Use filters to narrow.
Cached for 5 minutes. Click Refresh to force a new pull.
